Greetings! Why learning and what's most effective for maximizing employee, organizational development and success? Because whatever we and our workplaces want comes mainly from learning. Yes, learning! What you and I learn is primarily how we become who we are, and have what we want. Consider, for example the huge differences in cultures and countries, and the remarkable difference between us and other living creatures (learning vs instinct). For example, you may have heard how we are not ‘living up to our full potential’ or only using '10%' of it? Well, could that potential be our tremendous capacity for learning? That utilizing, ‘living up to our full potential’ means maximizing our learning and development? Likewise, consider the often heard advice of ‘teach’em how to fish, don’t give it to them’! Well, what does that mean? Could it be learning how to effectively learn or teach ourselves since learning is primarily how we become who we are and have what we want? Furthermore, just look at the incredible, exploding use of the internet–Google, web sites, blogs, webinars, social and professional networking as in Linkedin, Facebook and Twitter. That is testimony to the huge need, interest and exciting possibilities with learning. |
